Very hasty bloggingtons today just to update you all on my week end. I've had a totally chilled out and relaxing time with Ella and her Brazilian boyfriend Eduardo. Ella went out with some flakey English dude for 8 years who freaked out over having kids although she never even mentioned the 'B' word. I think she is much better off with Eduardo; he adores her. They are so in love it warms the cockles of your heart.
Seeing the harbour bridge and opera house for the first time was super exciting. They are such iconic landmarks; a similar sensation to seeing The Empire States Building or Eiffel Tower that first time. I was saying to Ella that we don't really have buildings with iconic status in the UK, she said 'what about The Gherkin?' Yeah right lol. I think Blackpool Tower is more impressive.
Ella and me.
A tall ship.
A zillion pictures of the opera house. Its an amazing building, a modern day Taj Mahal (not that I've been to India). I hadn't realised it was covered in mosaic tiles.
We hopped on a ferry to Manly which gave stunning views of the harbour.
A navy ship outside the maritime museum, I won't be going there.
The harbour was full of yachts, gliding along majestically with their swollen sails; like pregnant supermodels lol.
A luncheon of fish and chips then off to chill on Manly Beach.
Followed by beeros before fireworks.
This is Ella with Eduardo, look at how in love they are. One day Adilady your prince will come along too, but not until trippingtons are finished, no complications please.
The opera house by night, in case you hadn't worked it out.
This is Luna Park, there is one on St Kilda too.
And then the fireworks. Eduardo was laughing at my sheer excitement. Which city has fireworks every Saturday? Sydney, that's where:D
Sunday we got up late and had a lazy breakfast of scrambled eggs. Then a stunning coastal walk from Coogee to Bondi Beach. There I met the future Mister Adi, things just got complicated, not!!!!
Coogee Beach
Ella and Eduardo, incidentally, I didn't tell you that Ella's full name is Ellaluna, how cool is that!!! If you Google it she is the only person with that name, which she shares with a Parisian fashion label.
This is a cemetery on the hill, over looking the ocean.
Final destination Bondi Beach which should be renamed Boobage Beach because of all the fakeries that are on display;)
Eduardo loves dressing up in Ella's clothes, well her hat anyway.
And this is the ruby red moon, the colour is caused by the bushfire smoke. Blue Mountains are definitely off unless it rains :(
9am in Adiland so I am off to explore Sydney, everybody else has had to go to work:( I am still feeling happy about everything, long may that last. Much love to you all, Adilady over and our xxxx
