Last Supper

Saturday and its my last full day here in Elephant Land. I can honestly say I haven't met a single person I haven't liked the whole time I have been here.

This is our group shot...

And see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil are our fabulous VCs (volunteer coordinators). From left to right, Jane (aka Dora the Explorer), Say and Mix.
Most of the mahouts are from Myanmar and live in nearby refugee camps. Lek told us they have had it pretty tough in Burma. Apparently  many ethnic groups had to flee and live in the jungle due to persecution.
Another arty elephant shot.

This place is is a menagerie and mix match of waifs and strays.

For all you meowington fans...

This delta dog is way down the pecking order and has been ostracised by the pack; he is by far my favourite.
Dog in a wheel chair...
Adi lady walking Lennon and McCartney. There are hundreds of dogs here. Lek rescued them from the Bangkok floods.

This is our last supper:(
From left to right, Adi lady, Carey, Leanne

Amanda, Nigel and Charlie. Leanne and Nigel are here on their honeymoon.

Traditional Thai Entertainment...

A beautiful sunset.
So, goodbye to the hemphalumps, Adi lady over and out xxx
