Tuesday was Melbourne Cup day where the whole country grinds to a halt. Why don't they do it on Saturday like we do the Grand National? This is Oz so fook only knows...
Machatarn and I were off to a girls only party at Nicky's house, frockage at the ready.
I can't believe how plump my appley cheeks are looking, that dermaroller must have been good! I must have had a collagen spurt, all very chipmonk lol:D
Machatarn's friends are lovely and made me most welcome, good food and plenty of fizz made the party go with a swing. I got Green Moon in the sweepstake, cool name but crap horse which didn't place, M won 30 bucks HURRAH!
Below is Nicky, she had a pretend strop because somebody said my teeth were whiter than hers. When she found out my sister was a dentist I was branded a cheat ha ha.
Wednesday was very chilled. M and I went to zumba and then pottered around the shops in Byron. I bought a fantastic pair of skinny jeans made out of brocade, a real decadence considering my shoestring budget. When I tried them on I was kinda hoping they wouldn't fit but they were perfect. SOLD! In the evening we went to Gabby's house for drinks and nibbles, I am an honoury member of the girlie group now:D
I have lost a day somewhere so I can't remember which day we headed to the lighthouse.
Below are Julian Rocks, this is where Kirsten and Fay went snorkelling when they visited M all those years ago.
This picture was taken when I wasn't looking. I like it because there is no cheesy grin or chipmonk cheeks, unlike the one below. Also my boobingtons look quite big:D
In the afternoon I did boring old choreos, the snail needed washing and hoovering out:( Stan found this snake in the shed, apparently it is poisonous. He said it was a red bellied black, M disagreed, I have no clue but kept a safe distance.
Yessterday M and I embarked on our road trip, we were heading north to Cleveland to check out a car she wanted to buy. I took some family pics before I left, below Stan and Machatarn...
And this cutie is Jagan.
Last night we set up camp in a National Park picnic area which ended up being where the locals go to deal and dog. All very spooky at the time, I was like 'Adilady if you end up dead you only have yourself to blame.' Still we lived to tell the tale and this morning we did a 2 hour hike before going to check out the car; M is now the proud owner of a Hyundai Tucson.
We said our teary goodbyes and now I am drinking coffee and making the most of the free WiFi in the 'blackmilkcoffee' coffee shop, Oxley, Brisbane; I'm awaiting the return of my couchsurf hosty Steven. I have loved my time in Goonegerry, tomorrow I meet JoJo's sister Steph, hip, hip, hurray! Lots of love to all my wonderful family and friends from a very chilled and contented Adilady xxxx
